A Group Exhibition Featuring 10 Local & National Artists

Bandits is a group exhibition curated by James Oliver Gallery, featuring 10 local and national contemporary artists and their wide variety of work, ranging from paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, fiber art, and more. Originally slated to open Spring 2020 and postponed multiple times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are so excited to finally bring this much anticipated show to life for everyone to view.
This mixed-media group exhibition takes an off-beat approach, highlighting works across a scope of media and styles that feel lawless yet harmonious at the same time. Each individual artist presents an alternative approach to the familiar, which parallels the eccentric approach of the curation in its entirety. In this way, the exhibition unites a wide variety of complex topics and artistic processes to showcase a body of work that defies the very precedents it encapsulates. Bandits seeks to challenge the notions of contemporary art and its different sectors, and invites viewers to redefine the limits of “fine art”.
